Is your troop ready for an adventure? This experience is available for troops to build teamwork, learn to set goals, develop self-esteem and create memories of a lifetime. In order to participate in the Troop OAC Challenge, your troop will need a minimum of eight people, girls and/or adults, to participate in the program. All eight people participating must be able to attend the entire program from Friday evening through Sunday morning.
Troops are responsible for ensuring that the adult/child ratios are met. Adult volunteers who accompany their troops are responsible for girls when they are not participating in the program, i.e. meals and rest periods.
To apply, complete an Application for Troop Camping at Council-Owned Camps, C-9, indicating your choice of the “Outdoor Adventure Course”. There is a $60 site fee and application must be received prior to the camp pull. The troop is responsible for food costs for both the participants and the volunteer instructors while attending the program.
If selected during the camp pull, a lead OAC instructor will contact your troop prior to your program participation to help the group prepare for this adventure.
